\"\"WWF is very proud to once again be collaborating with London based artist Nicholas Gentry for Global Tiger Day 2019. Drawing upon recycled and obsolete technological materials as the grounds for his paintings, Nick creates a conversation between digital and analogue processes. Gentry constructs his painting supports out of materials such as compact disks, film negatives, X-rays, VHS cassettes and floppy disks.<\/p>

The materials are contributed directly by members of the public in a collaborative \u2018social art\u2019 project. The rigorous conceptual basis of this work explores the notion of collective identity. Gentry is a graduate of Central St Martins, London and has exhibited in galleries and public settings around the world.<\/p>
